Sandra Leiterman

Director of Trojan Cyber Arena | Adjunct Professor of Computer Science

Sandra Leiterman is the managing director of the UA Little Rock Trojan Cyber Arena. She is a Wisconsin native and has lived in Little Rock, AR since 2006. From 2010 to 2015, she taught middle school math and science in Little Rock. From 2015 to 2020, she worked at UA Little Rock in the School of Education as a STEM Education instructor and most recently as a math education specialist. She began her current position in cybersecurity education within the Trojan Cyber Arena (formerly known as the Cyber Arena) in 2020.

She has a BS in Middle School Math and Science Education as well as a Graduate Certificate in Gifted and Talented Education from UA Little Rock, an MSE in Digital Teaching and Learning from Kansas State University, and is currently finalizing her Ph.D. in Urban Education with an emphasis in Math Education from the University Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

In addition to managing the Trojan Cyber Arena, Sandra coaches the university’s VEX Robotics team and hosts two VEX tournaments on campus each year. She is active in the community sharing her passion for STEM education and cybersecurity in schools across the area. She dedicates much of her free time to working with girls and young women to help them realize their potential in STEM career fields. She has hosted women in STEM and Women in Cybersecurity events and is a member of the Girls of Promise Steering committee.
